We are growing our team and would like to wish a warm welcome to our new employees.
One of our new team members is Hannes Renzsch.
A naval architect by education, Hannes very much focused on fluid dynamics and has a strong background in CFD code development and application. He holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology, awarded for his research on Fluid Structure Interaction simulations. Main topics of his recent work include optimization of external aero- and hydrodynamics of ships and yachts for performance, efficiency and comfort. During his career he has been involved with high profile sail sports campaigns as well as in the development of some of the most exclusive mega yachts. Hannes is involved in the field of wind assisted ship propulsion by participation in several research projects. As member of the team at FSYS Hannes will contribute his expertise in applying OpenFOAM for further improvements of CFD integration in CAESES. With his experience in ship design at a major German shipyard he will also strengthen FSYS’s service offerings to clients interested in hull, superstructure or ship propulsion optimization.
Great to have you in the team 🙂
