Scan the code below or visit this website to book your hotel room with a special offer for our event. A set of hotel rooms are blocked at the hotel until July 1. After that, it will likely be more difficult – and expensive – to find rooms, so we recommend booking your room as early as possible.

On the first day of the event (Monday, September 9), starting from 10:30, we will offer a selection of modular workshop sessions that can be selected and combined to your liking. Depending of the specific topics, these workshops are aimed at advanced CAESES users, as well as beginners, and will offer demonstrations, hands-on exercises, insights, tips and tricks, and the opportunity to discuss problems you would like to solve with CAESES.

Preliminary agenda:

Throughout the conference, invited speakers and CAESES users from near and far will talk about how to create the most competitive products on the market and effectively make use of CAESES. You can expect exclusive and fascinating insights into the simulation-driven design of powertrain components, ship hulls, yachts, propellers, pumps, and turbines.

We are looking forward to your submission, if you would like to share some aspects of your work with the CAESES community. The following list will continuously be updated.

  • Keynote: Generative AI and Mechanical Engineering (Prof. Dr. Hanno Gottschalk, Technical University of Berlin, Chair for Mathematical Modeling of Industrial Life Cycles)
  • Keynote: Trends and Challenges in Turbomachinery CFD – and the Differences to Marine Simulations (Dr. Thomas Hildebrandt, NUMECA Ingenieurbüro)
  • Dynamic Fluid Structure Interaction of Racing Sailboats (Stig Knudsen, Technical University of Denmark)
  • The Application of CAESES from the Perspective of a Propeller Maker (David Bendl, Voith)
  • Enhanced Performance of Pump as Turbines through Runner Optimization: A Novel Approach (Eva Bilkova, Czech Technical University in Prague)
  • Navigating the Hydrodynamics Workflow in Early Ship Design (Paulo Macedo, Kongsberg Maritime)
  • A Simple Pump Impeller Performance Surrogate Model (Toni Klemm, KSB)
  • Performance Predictions of Wind-Powered Ships in Waves: a Step Towards a Multipurpose Seakeeping Software (Francesco Coslovich, FLOWTECH)
  • Aerodynamic Performance Optimization of a Commercial Aircraft with a Fully-Parametric CAD Model (Osman Gargi, Navist Engineering)
  • Concurrent Optimization of Impeller, Vaned Diffuser, and Volute Casing to Improve the Efiiciency of a Compressor Stage (Carsten Fütterer)
  • From Simulation via Model Tests to Full-Scale Trials for a Fast Monohull (Stefan Harries, Sebastian Uharek)
  • Elektroboot Eins: Tip-Rake Propeller Design for an Ultra-Light Electric Boat (Heinrich von Zadow)
  • H1 Unlimited: Designing a Propeller for Speeds of over 300 km/h (Andreas Arapakopoulos)
  • Thermal and Structural Optimization of Powertrain Components with Simulation in the Cloud (Mattia Brenner)
  • Topology and Shape Optimization of an Air Lubrication System (Hannes Renzsch)

Networking and Fun

Of course, there will be plenty of time to network with your fellow engineers, in the welcome reception, lunches, dinner, and coffee breaks. Due to popular demand, we are bringing back “Die Guten” for some musical entertainment in the evening!

Also, this year, you will have a unique opportunity to take a close look at and even a test ride of the Elektroboot Eins – an ultra light carbon fiber and battery electric runabout.
