We are excited to announce that this year more than 150 attendees joined the 3rd Conference on Intelligent Industrial Design Technology in Nanjing which comprised the CAESES® Chinese Users Meeting 2018. This annual event is organized by our partner NJTF and it was a big success!
CAESES Workshop
On the first day of the event, there was a CAESES® workshop for beginners. Based on a gasoline engine combustor model and an aircraft intake port, participants learned how to create efficient parametric surfaces and how to generate geometry variants automatically.

Optimization Competition
There was also the announcement of the results from a ship hull optimization competition. 11 entrants from 8 companies designed a hull form using CAESES®, and all the designs were analyzed with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to compute the effective power of the vessel as the objective function. The first prize of this challenging competition went to Mr. Liu Yang from SDARI. Congratulations, impressive work!
