Today, former FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS team member and EMship (European Masters Course in Integrated Advanced Ship Design) student Hélio Bailly Guimaraes presented a paper about “Retrofitting Vessels for Optimized Fuel Consumption” at the 2nd International Symposium on Naval Architecture and Maritime, a conference organized by the Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey.
The research on retrofitting of vessels in operation was realized within the research and development project ReFIT, granted within the ERA-NET MARTEC Call 2010, with FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS being funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi). Hélio contributed to this research within his Master’s thesis.
