Released CAESES 4.2.2

CAESES_new_version_image

We have released version 4.2.2 of our geometry modeling and optimization software CAESES®.

Dynamic Names of Result Files

When you set up a software connector to integrate an external tool, there is now critical improvement for dynamic file names. So if you use expressions to specify file names, we highly recommend to update to this new version.

The parameter "speed" changes the file name dynamically

Result Table: Fixed Design Column

This came in as another user request and we squeezed it into this update: Fixing the first column of the design results table. With this small improvements, the design name is always visible when scrolling through the design variables and objectives. In this iteration, the color and statistic settings can now also be shown or hidden through a button click.

Interpolation between Given Meridional Contours

There is an additional interpolation method for creating the stream surface at a specific radius between two given meridional contours. In addition to the default arc-length-based interpolation, you can now take into account the given parameterization of the input curves. This gives you more control about this process, and a better interpolation result for more special meridional contours such as the ones from multi-stage pumps.

New interpolation option for creating meridional stream curves

Displacement Calculation

The displacement of ship hulls based on the tessellation has been further improved. The accuracy of such calculations could be substantially increased for for trimeshes, surface groups and breps.

What Else?

There have been many enhancements and important fixes which are all listed in the changes log. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if things are not clear or if you have any questions regarding this new release. We look forward to your feedback on it :-)
