Mr. Henrik Philipsen 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2015 Hi Caeses team, I am trying to compute the volume of the bulb that I am modifying. I have the forward section including the bow modelled as 'FImageOffsetGroup' but I just want the volume of the protruding bulb ahead of the forward perpendicular.Do you have any tricks on how to do that? I have attached a section illustration, where the outer red section lines describe the modified bulb I would like to integrate the volume of. Mr. Claus Abt 14 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 Limit the imageOffsetgroup to the range of interest and use it in a hydrostatics computation.groupname.cutminmax(....) CheersClaus
Mr. Henrik Philipsen 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 Thanks for your swift reply Claus, So I limit the ImageOffsetGroup to the scope in length I want to do the calculations on make a hydrostatic within the vertical bounds? Best regards, Henrik
Mr. Claus Abt 14 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 You can do the same for z. If there are still remains from the hull that you don't want to have in the computation, you would have to define a feature which takes the offsetgroup and a curve and cuts all individual offsets at the vertical position of the given curve.
