These reactors have fixed beds of catalyst and also appear as coiled tubes in direct fired heaters without catalysts. The catalyst manufacturer gives us a space velocity they guess will fit the reactants and we then build the reactor. I want to be able to use a mesh and generate the fluid flows including the chemical equilibria at each node as they change with heat and mass transfer, pressure and temperature.
