Mr. Mattia Brenner 6 Report post Posted February 5, 2015 Hi, to be honest, I am not really familiar with the .pan format. I assume it is a panel format. If so, is it structured or unstructured? Is it an ASCII or binary file? In the case of a structured panel mesh in ASCII format, things shouldn't be too difficult. You can import the lattice of nodes with a feature (see this post http://www.friendship-systems.com/forum/index.php?/topic/93-feature-for-import-or-export-of-point-data-to-ffwcaeses/) and then e.g. interpolate them with curves row by row and loft these curves with a surface. In case of an unstructured mesh or a binary file things are more complicated... Cheers,Mattia
Karsten Wenzke 12 Report post Posted February 5, 2015 Hey Shahriar, Maybe you can you the feature definition I wrote for you a while ago. Or you can start with that one and make it fit the .pan file structure. Here is another example of a custom import feature. If you need further input do not hesitate to ask. :-)(An example file and more information about the .pan file will help in that case.) Cheers, Karsten
