Hi Everyone,

 

I used the Wageningen B-Series online tool to generate a 3D model of a 3 Bladed propeller but now I need 2D drawings. Specifically expanded view, pitch distribution, profile view and transverse view. Is this something CAESES can produce? Can someone help me please?

Hi Andrey,

 

CAESES comes with a propeller model that allows you to set the number of blades to 5. See the docu browser > demo models. propeller_CAD_model_5_blades.jpg

 

Maybe you can dig into it to transfer the modeling approach to your specific design.

Hello Jörg,

I tried it already. It is faraway from original and the description for caeses, what I found, did not allowed me to draw the correct propeller.
It isn’t intuitively.

Hello,everone. Is there a good way to establish the profile "NACA66 Thickness form + a=0.8 mean line Camber"  ,the usual profile that used in propeller design ?

In CAESES you will find the profile definition for NACA 66 profiles.

 

For its use in a blade definition, you have to put it into a feature definition, similar to the NACA 4D which comes with the samples. You have to replace the feature definition in the curveEngine for your blade by your own definition which then is based on the NACA 66.

Thank you Mr. Claus Abt,

I find that  CAESES provides a number of naca 6 series airfoil ,naca66-006 ,66-008 ,66-010 and something like that.However the airfoil "naca66 a=0.8" is  a kind of combined airfoil and  have not been contained in CAESES.Thank you anyway ,spline curver maybe help.

HI ,sorry to bother again, I try to model a kind of spcial propeller produced by Sharrow Marine  just like the picture shows but I have no ideas,is there a good way to model such propeller?
