did you installed the vmware tools in your ubuntu?

 

sudo apt-get install open-vm-tools open-vm-tools-desktop

The problem seems to be related to the correct gpu driver.

 

 

If you have further problems (after installing the vm-tools), submit the out put of glxgears

glxgears > glx.txt

moving the lib (libstdc++.so*) was the suggestion. Do you see CAESES running now? Is there a 3D window?

If you still have problems, try to start CAESES with this additional argument:

 

 

 

- open a Terminal
- navigate to the location of the application launcher
- start the application:
