Mr. Jonas Holzbrecher 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2019 Hello everybody, I am beginner in designing propellers with CAESES and I need some assistance with the tip. For a student project i work on a hydrokinetic axial turbine. For the basic design of the turbine (diameters, chord length, pitch) I use a self written EXCEL tool based on the theory of Betz and Schmitz. For the optimization of the design I use CAESES. Now I have problems with the tip at the trailing edge. There is a gap and no even distribution of the tip. Please see the pictures. First I thought that this is a problem with the resolution in CAESES. But when I have a look in the CAD Model (NX) the problem is still there. When I generate a CFD Mesh in StarCCM+ the automatic surface repair of the mesher fixes this problem not completely. I also have attached my CAESES File. Please can someone help me with this? Thank you, Jonas3_Auslegung_0.24_m_t_optimiert.fdbc
