Mr. Stefan Pietsch 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2013 Hey, I have modelled a ship hull and want to use Kelvin for resistance calculation. Therefore it would be useful to build up a connection between FFW and KELVIN via Software Connector. My question is if there is some kind of guideline or tutorial to build up this connection? Additionally I would like to know if it is possible to create the mesh in the environment of CAESES instead of KELVIN during the procedure of modelling and calculation? Mr. Claus Abt 14 Report post Posted November 5, 2013 HI Stefan,Have you already read the tutorial about external software connection? Do you have the specification of the files that you need? In principle it should be possible to create the mesh in CAESES. But can you stop Kelvin after each iteration and restart it again with the new mesh based on the previous results. Seems doable, but a bit of a challenge. For custom geometry exports there is a nice example from Arne http://www.friendship-systems.com/forum/index.php?/topic/159-exporting-custom-file-formats-using-features/ Hope that helpsCheersClaus
