i want to Create several Curve using FD. and the curve is used to create vane(like image).

 

I made one by one, but I can not find a way to turn it at once with a loop.

 

and i want to use "Is Hidden Condition" in Advanced in Arguments tap in FD Editor. but I do not know how to use it.(Image33)

 

If you have any ideas, can you tell me?

First, my problem is running Optimization with DAKOTA in Linux. and i confirmed working in Windows(and No problem when using other optimization algorithms(like sobol, TSearch, ...)

 

Second, Previously when I checked, I could not find anything wrong with my script. I'll check it again.

Hi

 

I get a Question when i was testing Optimization Algorithm(RSM in DAKOTA).

 

The Opti is finding minimum Z value on a certain BsplineSurface.

 

And I Knew RSM is Basically creates a response surface based an initial result pool. Then for each iteration it creates a response surface. On this it will find the minimum and runs the CFD for this new minimum. Then this design is included into the new response surface and a new iteration will start.

 

 

But...With Sobol or Without Sobol, Designs created by DAKOTA(RSM) is same.

 

In attached png file. First is the thing No Select Result pool, Second is Selecting Sobol_01(30 Designs), Last one is Selecting Sobol_17(200 Designs). Same Designs is created. All....

 

 

So, my Question is that Why does not consider initial result pool when rsm run.

What i did is Connecting TurboGrid in Workbench.

 

In Workbench, CAESES ACT app is used to couple CAESES and ANSYS.

 

So, I imported FSC File(I attached in 1st poster) in Workbench. and updated CAESES ACT app.

 

But it can`t work.

 

Maybe i think It can`t just use CAESES ACT app with FSC file.

i want using script for running with ANSYS app.

 

in TurboGrid, i can import curve file using the "Feature Definitions” in CAESES.

 

but i can`t update fsc file in ANSYS Workbench

 

What can i do...?

I run into a few problems...

 

one thing is importing xml format file.

 

I tried to apply what others had made to solve reading txt file.

 

but i can`t solve

 

 

just I want read one line in X, and next line is Y

 

ex)

xml file is

<Value Type="Vector2" Index="0">

<x Type="Float">0.547408021449596</x>

<y Type="Float">1.77333179937449</y>

</Value>

 

and I want to create Point ( 0.547408021449596, 1.77333179937449, 0)

 

 

other thing is separating line

 

in xml file, 0~200 line is Curve1, and 201~400 line is Curve2...

 

I create Curve1 that 0~400line is 

 

 

Can I get some help with this?

I waited 1 day...but it`s not finish

 

 

Second, i understood using TSearch instead of Brent.  is this right?

(I tried TSearch turned off "Variant Creation"..but It`s same...to Brent)

I knew that turn off before starting Sobol/TSearch( I saw the tutorial)

 

I attached png file that while i off the "Variant Creation", start TSearch

 

when you see the image, maybe you will know what`s the problem...(not start next design)

I have infinite loop that i do UnCheck Variant Creation in Optimization.

 

Because of using Variant Creation function, i want Optimization that one objective function must be zero(nearly zero)  other is minimized.

 

I found similar problem that is tutorial (05_Fulfilling_Geometry_Constraints).

 

that tutorial is work, but when objective function is thing through other software, is not working. and infinite Optimization do...

 

how do i fix..?

so i run Simerics and read result for Ensight format... and then i don`t know what is next...
