Mr. Konrad Lorentz 2 Report post Posted July 16, 2015 Dear Michele, please install a propreritary nvidia driver. This should fix your problem. without checking the solution, I found a tutorial:https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidiahttp://www.binarytides.com/install-nvidia-drivers-ubuntu-14-04/ Please report your solution. Mr. Konrad Lorentz 2 Report post Posted July 16, 2015 Or try this: cd /opt/CAESES_4.0.1.snap_20150715_Linux.x86_64/lib/Linux.x86_64/mv libstdc++.so* missing_libs/cd ../.../CAESES
Mr. Konrad Lorentz 2 Report post Posted July 16, 2015 I heard by a CAESES Free user: "moving the libs to the missing libs dir did the trick *without* playing with nvidia installs :))..." RegardsKonrad
Mr. Michele Cavallerin 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2015 Hi Konrad, thank you very much. For me it worked by installing Nvidia propetary drivers! Thanks Cheers
Mr. Bram1 Kerkhofs1 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2016 Hi Konrad I've the same problem. I've the Ubuntu 14.04 and I get this error while initiating Caeses. view typeslibGL error: unable to load driver: r600_dri.so libGL error: driver pointer missing libGL error: failed to load driver: r600 libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast X Error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 2 I've already installed the driver as per: http://askubuntu.com/questions/588024/steam-install-error-on-14-04-ubuntu-64bit sudo apt-get install libc6:i386 sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-trusty:i386 And it is on my machine. I've also copied the files (r600_dri.so and swrast_dri.so) from/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/drito/home/bram/CAESES_4.0.3_Linux.x86_64/lib/Linux.x86_64/missing_libs but Caeses didn't start.I've also tried copying to/home/bram/CAESES_4.0.3_Linux.x86_64/lib/Linux.x86_64/but still nothing.Do you have any ideas?Kind regardsBram
Mr. Bram1 Kerkhofs1 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2016 Hi KonradI believe I'm on the trail of the cause of this problem. The file when I change the name of (or delete) libstdc++.so.6 (found in /home/bram/CAESES_4.0.3_Linux.x86_64/lib/Linux.x86_64), so it isn't found anymore, Caeses starts. I believe this has to do with a problem of accessing the application/x-sharedlib file, which should direct to the correct driver. But now it has some errors, but it starts. initializing features ... initializing configuration ... configuration - ok updating geometry - ok X Error: GLXBadContext 172 Extension: 155 (Uknown extension) Minor opcode: 6 (Unknown request) Resource id: 0x3a00175 X Error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 2 Extension: 155 (Uknown extension) Minor opcode: 3 (Unknown request) Resource id: 0x0 X Error: GLXBadContext 172 Extension: 155 (Uknown extension) Minor opcode: 5 (Unknown request) Resource id: 0x3a00175 X Error: 0 0 Extension: 155 (Uknown extension) Minor opcode: 26 (Unknown request) Resource id: 0x0 QGLContext::makeCurrent(): Failed. Mr. Konrad Lorentz 2 Report post Posted March 9, 2016 Hi, moving the lib (libstdc++.so*) was the suggestion. Do you see CAESES running now? Is there a 3D window? Please post the output of glxinfo. RegardsKonrad
