Problems of Imported ship hulls

I have issues with imported ship hulls.Most of this hulls have too many surfaces. In such a case how can one use the shift or lakenby function since these transformations requires an input of a single surface?

Hi Favour,
 

The first thing you should do is to grou these surfaces in a "Surface Group".
Then you can extract data such as the SAC curve (check the Lackenby Variation sample file in documentaiton).

Now create an "Image Surface Group" from the surface group of surfaces you imported and apply your transformation to it.

You can also apply transformations to other CAD types such as Breps, image trimeshes and so on.
