Mr. Daehwan Park 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2013 We meet frequently the need to obtain wire frame model from offset data or even from a surface model.I am not quite sure how this trial will be applied to the practical work, I planted a seed to create waterlines from the KVLCC offset model at the arbitrary z position. All curves are InterpolationCurve with degree of 3.The next step will be the section extraction from the waterline at the arbitrary x positions. The current study performs in the geometrical scope of single-skeg and normal bulbous bow. When the original model has a goose neck bulb or twin-skeg, then the order to create the wires should be started from buttock lines. Am I right? // Daehwan. Mr. Claus Abt 14 Report post Posted May 16, 2013 Hi Deahwan, What is the role of the order of the wires? I am asking because you stated above that for goose neck bulbs the order should start from the buttocks. CheersClaus
Daehwan Park 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2013 Around top position of goose neck bulb, waterline separation happens, i.e. one waterline on the body side and another on the bulb side. But now I think, two waterlines at the same z position might be OK, since the two curves could be distinguished independently.
