Hey,

I started working with FRIENDSHIP Framework in spring 2012. I did my internship and my bachelor thesis at Voith Turbo Schneider Propulsion. I found this tutorial I've made in this time and I'd like to share it with you.

The tutorial is based on the Rosenbrock function and it is used to test optimization algorithms. For more detailed informations about the Rosenbrock Function please have a look at http://en.wikipedia....nbrock_function .

The tutorial guides you through a lot of functions (for instance genericcurve, curveengine, metasurface, sections ..) of CAESES/FFW and leads into a small optimization to find the minimum of that function.

You can download the documentation, the project file and I attached a small picture of the resulting surface. The pictures in die documentation are created with 2.3 but this shouldn't be a big issue.

Best regards

Karsten
