Ubuntu install

Hello 

I have just installed CAESES Free on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (running on a MacBook pro via VMware).

 

When I run CAESES the GUI loads OK but the following scipt  is displayed by the terminal window.

X Error: GLXBadContext 169

  Extension:    155 (Uknown extension)

  Minor opcode: 6 (Unknown request) Fusion
  Resource id:  0x3600176
 
Followed by several simlar lines.
 
When I attempt to use the GUI 3DView .  There are no images , caves lines etc shown on the screen.
 
I am a newbie  can you offer any advice please.
 
PS (If I run the windows version via VMware on the same MacBook pro that works OK - after installing visual c

OK I have this working know. I just needed to zoom in a lot for some reason.

Dear Ken,

 

did you installed the vmware tools in your ubuntu?

 

sudo apt-get install open-vm-tools open-vm-tools-desktop

The problem seems to be related to the correct gpu driver.

 

 

If you have further problems (after installing the vm-tools), submit the out put of glxgears

glxgears > glx.txt

PS
This line is also appearing in the terminal
QGLContext::makeCurrent(): Cannot make invalid context current.
