CAESES Tutorial and First Steps: how to start and learn CAESES

Recommended Posts

Hey,

if you try CAESES for the first time or you want to learn more about it. You'll find a bunch of tutorials and samples included in the Software.

PDF Tutorials

Go to the Documentation Browser and click on Tutorials or Samples. The tutorials will help you to get through all features CAESES offers. After doing theses tutorials you' ll be able to start creating your own projects.

Sample Project Files
The Samples are finished projects which can be edited.

Video Tutorials

See this page.

Feel free to share your models with us in our forum. Feedback w.r.t. the tutorials is highly appreciated.

Regards,
Karsten

Hey,

here is another tutorial which I've created some time ago with an older version but it is still worthwhile going through the steps.

Hope you like it and it helps you to get a better understanding of CAESES.

Cheers,

Karsten

Hey Jaime,

unfortunately there is no extra userguide or manual for FFW.

But each object type (points, curves, trimesh, ...) has an own documentation in FFW.

You can access the type docu by clicking on the object type symbol (1) in the Object Editor,

use the Documentation Brower > Types  (2)

or use the Search in the Documentation Browser.

If you need any further information or more details please let me know.

Cheers,

Karsten

Hi Karsten,

I would like to know how to program functions and features but none of this is documented in the documentation browser. A userguide for future versions will be welcomed!!

Thanks a lot.

Hey Jaime,

1) You can find tutorials about Feature programming (Documentation Browser > Tutorials > Features)

2) go to Documentation Browser > Search and search for FFeatureDefinition

3) Open a new Feature definition (Features > New Definition) click on the "question mark box" in the top right edge or search for FDefineFeatureDlg

If you still need more information please let me know.

Cheers,

Karsten

Some additional information about feature programming can also be found here:https://www.caeses.com/support/videos/

The last video is an introduction video for feature programming.

Also the Meta Surface tutorials making use of feature definitions and the feature section can help to get more insights.

I also recommend this post by Arne.

Based on your input we made it more easy to find and access the feature definition in our documentation browser.

Thank you for your feedback.

Cheers,

Karsten

Hi,

I installed Version 4.0.3 on Linux Mint and want to do the tutorials.
Unfortunately, when I go to "Documentation Browser / Tutorials / Getting started" the links below e.g. "Graphical User Interface" do not work.

What can I do?

Regards,
Thomas
