CAESES 4.1.0 Free crashes when renaming parameter entries

CAESES 4.1.0 Free crashes when renaming parameter entries.  I have to restart the program about 10 times before it finally takes the new entry name.  Once past renaming parameter entries, the program works fine again.  It happens when control focus exits the name edit box to go to any other control.

 

I'm trying to do step 8 in the S-duct with OpenFOAM tutorial.

Which operating system do you use?

If it is some sort of Linux distribution.

I’d like you to try the following process (second post by Konrad) and let us know whether it solved your problem or not.

I'm running the Windows version.  It does the same thing both in Windows 7 and Windows 10.

 

My workaround is to keep the entry names assigned by the program (i.e. hex_, hex_1, hex_2, ...).  I then use a parameter in the entry data field that I can rename to whatever I need.

Dear Ken,

 

Sorry for the inconvenience. This bug will be fixed in the next release of CAESES.

 

As a quick workaround you can also rename entries directly in the template editor by just clicking on them (see screenshot). If you do it this way it won't crash.
