Global Coordinate

Recommended Posts

In my Shipflow 3Dview window, x, y and z cordinate dimensions are missing. But it is present in 3d overview (Like [Global System] z-axis, x:0.0, y:0.0). How can I get back it 3d view?

Hey Nabila,

This message box "[Global System] z-axis, x:0.0, y:0.0"

in the top right corner of the 3dViewer is only available when the 3dViewer is showing a plane.

You can use the filters x y z or -x -y -z than this should appear again. post-41-0-07565200-1453222463_thumb.png

Is this what you meant if not a screenshot would help me to understand the problem better.

Cheers,

Karsten

Hi Karsten,

Following is the attached picture of my previous 3d view with Global coordinate which is absent in my present 3d view. I have used the filters x y z or -x -y -z but it does not appear.

I have changed the 3dview colour to plain color due to some graphics problem, is it the reason of missing global coordinate in 3d view?

Thanks

Nabila

Hey Nabila,

Thanks for the screenshot to make sure we are taking about the same thing.

I have changed the 3dview colour to plain color due to some graphics problem, is it the reason of missing global coordinate in 3d view?

This is an important hint. :-) It seems to be that you changed all colors to the same?

Do the following.

1) right click on the 3dViewer tab and choose settings (the last entry)

This settings menu has two main sections.

2) Go to the second one which should be 3dScene

This section has several settings as well.

The first section is Overlay. These settings are for the Global system box on the top right.

The second is lighting and has ony one entry

The third one is Backggroud. Here you should change the setting type to plaincolor this will change the background of the 3dviewer to a plain color.

The second setting is plain color. This is the 3dviewer background color.

To solve your problem:

The "foreground color" of the overlay section should be a different one from the "plaincolor" of the background section and also different from the overlay section "Background color".

Now you should be able to see the global system again.

I would use the same settings as you have set for the 3dOverview.

Hope this solve it.

Cheers,

Karsten
