Visualising Metasurface sections created by Curve Engine

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

CAESES comes with some functionality to visualise the sections of surfaces. As a very basic example, in the surface display options you can create a section visualisation in the x, y and z-plane. Our Blade Engine provides a more sophisticated in-build option where you can switch between a 2D and a 3D blade section visualisation. Moreover, Jörg posted his own idea of a pretty fancy Curve Engine access a while ago.

The version attached to this post is much simpler. All you need as input is the Curve Engine and a series of values (stations) for which you want to create the visualisation of the surface sections created by the curve engine. The series directly refers to the "length function" of your surface. As an optional input you can apply a transformation to those sections as well.

I used our s-duct sample to give you a simple example of how the feature works.

Cheers
