Mr. hamid reza 1 Report post Posted November 2, 2015 Hi everyone I am modeling ship hull using the meta surface option. As you can see in the attached image, there is a discontinuity between two consequent Meta surfaces, how can I remove the gap between them? CheersHamidreza
Jörg 29 Report post Posted November 2, 2015 Hi, I guess you are using a rather old version? Version 4.0.x: See the meta surface in the attachment: You should choose "Skinning" with a reasonable number of cross sections, e.g. 20-50 in your case. And, you can try to use the rail curves so that the boundary information is included - this should remove the gap. But this also depends on how you have set up your curve definition of the meta surface. CheersJoerg

Karsten Wenzke 12 Report post Posted November 3, 2015 Hey Hamidreza, Can you attached the project then I am able to take look at the project and give some advices. I have also attached a tutorial which is inclued in 4.0.x which creates a similar hull shape. I would recommend you to do it. It will give you a lot of insights about modeling a hull shape with CAESES.05_Fast_Monohull.pdf Cheers, Karsten
