Design velocities - understanding a parametric model

Recommended Posts

HI Folks,

If you want to understand how design variables change the geometry in a parametric model, you can use the sensitivity computation.

As an example I opened the cylindertransformation from the samples, defined a few design variables that control the shape of the functions for the blade. Subsequently I ran a sensitivity study and to ease the post processing I wrote a short feature which creates a screenshot for each design variable (switch off the visibility of surfaces and breps before running the feature).

This project has been created using CAESES 4.0. The Breps will create some issues if you open it in versions below 4.0.

The feature definition

designVelocitites.fdf

and the project file

cylindertransformation.fdb

Have fun
