Mr. Sangwoo Kim 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Hi all. I followed the tutorial 05_Blade design > 01_Generic blade and made a propeller. I want to export the propeller geometry as a parasoild(x_t) or IGES(igs) file, not stl for several reasons.But whenever I tried, only blade is exported, not the entire propeller.Plus, I made couples of 'ruled surface' for making watertight blade geometry, but they were also not exported. Jörg 29 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Dear Sangwoo Kim, The propeller entity is there only for visualization and specific export purposes. For instance, you can export the propeller in the PFF (propeller free format) format, for which the diameter and number of blades is needed. However, IGES and other exports have not been considered so far for the propeller entity. Mostly because our users cope with a single blade when doing meshing & CFD. See the attachment: I modified the existing propeller sample slightly so that the hub and periodic blades can be exported via IGES or STEP, for example. Does this help?
