can CAESES version 5.3 run 4.4 models and integrate with star ccm+

Hi

I am currently setting up my university final year project around CAESES. I have a geometry file from version 4.4, and was wondering if this would still work in version 5.3 and integrate with STAR-CCM+ for optimisation? 
 

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

yes that should work. But it could be that small adjustments need to be done.
