Ship hull model

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm experiencing some trouble while generaing my ship hull model using CAESES.

I'm attaching my model for reference. I don't know why the section of the aftbody won't match the derivatives on the transom and on the forward part of the aftbody. I know there's some issue with zMid, but I've checked the code and everything a lot of times and still can't find any error.

As you can see, there's also an error output: *** INFO |f => |inputImage : warning [cannot compute intersections]. Maybe it's related to the problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

You had to issues that caused the problem.

1. The Z value of point1 for the curve weightStart was 0.

It should be changed to 1 or to some other reasonable value.

2. The default value of Number of Sections in MetaSurface is 15. Increasing this number would improve the surface resolution. For example, 30 in this case.
