Hull Modelling - Invisible Geometry

Recommended Posts

Hi,

This is my first topic on the forum. Hurra! (?)

I have imported a .igs file from Rhino but I am not able to visualize it in the 3D viewer. I made sure to use the right units (meters). What am I doing wrong?

Regards, Antoine

Hi Antoine,

after importing the iges file, make sure that the individual parts are set to "visible" (the little eye symbol in the object editor), also please check that the main scope is set visible (by clicking on the icon in the object tree you can show and hide objects from the 3D view). At last you could try to use the "Reset Zoom" button in the 3 D Window.

Here is a little video for what I explained.

Kind regards,

Hedi

Hi Hedi,

Thank you for your reply.

I was always able to select the parts in the 3D viewer when I drag the mouse cursor around but I cannot see them.

I made sure that all individual parts are set to "visible" but nothing changes. Is it a problem with my laptop graphical card/settings? Do I need to set up the 3D viewer at the beginning?

Regards, Antoine
