Can't enable 3DView

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm trying to follow the CAESES tutorials, but I have a problem: I can't enable the 3DView at the "View" selection (as shown in the picture attached).

Best regards,

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

On the side bar please please click the top button and then follow the steps;

View > New > 3D Window

In the opened menu, please select "Save in User Configuration" and click "Execurte". This will open a 3DWindow and enable Caeses to load the new 3DWindow whenever Caeses loads.

Please let me know if this resolves your problem.

By the way, I have just figured that you are using Caeses4.

Is there any specific reason for that?

In your case, I guess the path should be View > New > 3D Window

Hello, Ceyhan,

Thanks for your response.

I'm using CAESES 4 because when I tried to update it, I couldn't open the software, even though I'm supposed to have a perpetual license.

By the way, when I create the 3D window it looks like that (I've attached the printscreen). I know it isn't normal, but the only way to fix this would be by updating CAESES?

Best regards,

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

That does not look nice.

Can you please try to restart Caeses.

Please create a ticket in the Helpdesk with regards to your Caeses 5 problem. We can try to figure out the problem and take some measures if need to be.

I strongly advice you to use Caeses 5.

Cheers

Ceyhan

Hi Carlos,

I think I remember these black BReps from the good old CAESES4 days 😉 If I recall correctly this happens when importing IGES/STEP from certain other CAD tools and can be easily resolved by just assigning a different color to the imported parts. Since they are currently black, you would have to use the BRep operation "remove colors" first and then assign a different color...

Best regards,
Heinrich
