  1. Is there a way to change the background in 3DWindow? Currently, the background is brownish and I would like to have the white background. Also. how can I increase the size of control points used for generating B-Spline curves? Thank you.
  2. I am working on the optimization of ducted propulsor for underwater vehicle. I have parametrized the geometry of the propeller and stator. Then I generated and exported number of geometries using Sobol sequence. Then I ran CFD simulation for all these geometries externally and extracted the required results. I do not have the complete optimization framework setup in CAESES. I would like to know 1. If I can use Dakota optimization toolkit for performing sensitivity analysis or response surface generation. I have an excel file which contains the design variable (generated by Sobol) and the results of CFD simulation. Thank You.
  3. I have created Marine propulsor geometry using CAESES. The geometry consists of shaft, rotor and stator. I am using Brep feature/ solid from intersection to create solid geometry. But when I export step file or iges file I am not able to get solid geometry. I only get surface geometry. I have attached the project file. Thank you. marine_propulsor.zip
  4. I am trying to create the stator which will be placed after the propeller. Its like a post-swirl stator which will try to straighten the flow exiting from propeller. I have attached the screenshot of the blade profile at root, mid and tip of the stator. I have created the feature definition of the airfoil shape. I was trying to generate stator using the curve engine and then generic blade feature. But I did not got good results. I also try to see the axial fan sample, but it seems slightly different from the propeller sample. I have attached the stator design, I tried to create with curve engine features. But my leading edge is starting on X axis. How can I shift the center line of the stator? Also, is there better way to create the stator geometry than the propeller geometry generation procedure.
