Hello,
I defined a result value and can use the parameter for evaluation. But where can I set, whether dakota shall optimize for lower or higher values?
After running a batch of optimizations with Dakota-Soga I can see, that I probably have not enough evaluations. Therefore I would like to keep the optimization going, but I can only use the run as a result pool. I could not find that term in the tutorials. What is it?
kind regards,
Johannes

Hi,
the switch to / instead of the previously specified folder did the trick.
For everyone interested:
Put / to sftp root.
And specify your working folder via tmp dir.

Hello,
thanks to your help, I was able to run CAESE Trial Version succesfully on my local machine (Windows 7). Now I would like to send the jobs over to my linux Workstation for computation and found the sshmanager software. I read the manual to set it up and while the temp folder is succesfully created on my linux workstation, the testcase fails.
The configuration I use looks like this:
Where may I find more information to figure out, why neither the testcase, nor my actual optimization runs on a remote workstation?
kind regards,
Johannes

Hi,
thank you for your help. I had a closer look at the java script and the error that showed turned out to be related to the renaming of the stl to be imported. After fixing this, import without path worked like a charm.

Hi,
I tried to do some runs with sobol and manuel tests. My Java script has the paths to both the stl and the path to the result hard coded, which is not that bad for the stl, but will always overwrite the results of one simulation. The export option for imported java scripts into CAESES does remove the whole path of the stl file and leaves only " partImportManager_0.importStlPart(resolvePath("rohstl.stl"), "OneSurfacePerPatch", units_0, true, 1.0E-5);" Running starccm on windows it is then not able to find the stl.
How do you actually add a result file for optimization, when it is not yet created and neither is the folder structure you might find them in?
kind regards
Johannes

Thank you very much, this helped a lot. :-)

Hi Claus,
your example is exactly, what I was looking for. It will take me some time to find out how you did it, but thank you very much!

Hi,
I just created a cylinder with two lids on each side. I would like to modify the surface of one of those lids, as I can do with the "planar b-spline surface" option for rectengular patches.
Is there a way to add F3DPoints to the lid, or shape a "planar b-spline surface" like the lid?
kind regards,
Johannes
